CSI Processing Request
Good morning,
We currently have an analysis request form for our Officers to complete when they would like items sent to FDLE. We are looking to generate an additional form for Officers to request our CSI to process specific items in-house when applicable. Would anyone be able to provide an example form with this type of information?

Good Morning,
Our police states all firearms turned in as case evidence will be automaticlly processed for latent prints DNA and any other possible evidence and sent off to FDLE for anlaysis. As for other types of evidence if the case gets assigned to a detective or invetisgtaor they will send us an email with requesting processing. Since the CSI has more knowledge in the feild and observes somethin g that wasnt requested - example process this cellphone for latent prints and during the observation notices suspeccted blood. The CSI will collect that evidence with out it needed to being requested by the dectective. If a patrol officer is handling the case we have a form they request with tag/item number and main processing Latnets/DNA. Once again if the patrol is requesting for DNA only but we see possible latent prints are condusive we will process for it.
