Money Kiosks
Does any agency use a money kiosk to deposit physical money into, instead of submitting the cash into Evidence? Then the receipt would be entered into Evidence?

This is a new concept.
Our agency we hold onto all physical currency till either found/safekeeping is up -90 days or 8 year purge cycle and approved to be destroyed from the case. It than gets deposited to our Finance Department.
I have seen other agencies that will hold the found and safekeeping but deposit evidence status currency that will not be needed for court. If the money was stolen from a bank or person that might need to stay as evidence to produce for court later. (this is where it gets a little harder to decided and might make more work as you might need to ask the SAO if they want to have it for court)
