Ammunition Misfire Question
It was asked in our chapter 8 meeting today, regarding the ammo that hit another round in the same evidence bag and went off, if anyone knew the brand of ammo/caliber or if they were all different types that misfired? I know a few agencies at the conference had advised they had this issue happen and we would like to know if it is possibly occurring with a specific brand or caliber size.

Sorry, just seeing this now. It was our agency that had the round go off. It was 19 rounds of Hornady 9mm Luger. The pic below the back of the bullet that went off. Another bullet will fit perfectly in the groove. If you want to see more photos, send me an email Molly.Cromie@SarasotaFL.gov
